Family medicine physician Andrew Colebank, DO, has joined WVU Medicine St. Joseph's Hospital at the Brushy Fork Rural Health Clinic in Buckhannon, where he is now scheduling patients of all ages for appointments beginning in October. Read more →

The Buckhannon Upshur Camera Club has a friendly competition each month during their meetings. The June meeting was a picnic event at Audra State Park which members certainly enjoyed.

Club members shared their waterfall photos and the monthly winner was Sandra Miller who presented a photo of Falling Spring Falls in Covington, VA. The next club event will be a trip to the Highland Scenic Highway on Saturday July 20. New members are always welcome!

The Buckhannon-Upshur Lady Bucs placed second among 13 teams at the Coal River Classic despite storm-battered conditions. Gwendolyn Rogosky, Isabella Bowers and Chloe Lewis finished seventh, eighth and ninth, while 14 Lady Bucs set personal bests.

Upshur residents hit by July flooding have until Friday to apply for disaster food aid

Upshur County residents with losses from the July 21 storms have until 6 p.m. Friday to apply for disaster food benefits at the DoHS office on Auction Lane in Buckhannon. The state says 86 households in four counties have been helped so far.
