Buckhannon: Then & Now – Camp Kokena

Buckhannon: Then and Now. Join us in showcasing Upshur County throughout history and today.

Camp Kokena was built along the Buckhannon River in 1903 by Freme Rohrbaugh and John Hughes. This was the earliest established camp along the Buckhannon River located three miles above Hampton. The cabin was rented out for weekend parties, family get-togethers and more! Fun fact: guests were taken to and from the camp by motor boat.
