Buckhannon public works board shifts $110k to park upgrades after budget boost

Joshua Hall has been reappointed to a second five-year term as Milan Puskar Dean of WVU’s John Chambers College of Business and Economics, following a Spring 2026 review that praised his leadership and work ethic.

Spring is bringing a wave of upgrades around Buckhannon, from new playground equipment at North Buckhannon Park ahead of the May 1 opening to a Charles Gibson Library roof replacement starting in early to mid-May.

Buckhannon-Upshur High School seniors can apply for several spring scholarships worth $500–$1,000, with deadlines from April 15 through May 8 and additional Appalachian Impact awards for fall 2026.

Vandalia Health Pharmacy has relocated to a new space inside the Vandalia Health Cowen Clinic at 70 Technology Lane, making it easier to pick up prescriptions right after appointments. Hours are 9 a.m.–6 p.m. Monday–Friday, with the same staff and services.
