Buckhannon Post 7 baseball update

TENNERTON – Several updates on the Buckhannon Post 7 baseball team.

Their 15-6 outing with Elkins Post 29 that only went six innings because of a weather delay on June 22 has now been ruled an official game. Area games are supposed to be completed but area officials declared the game as complete.

Area officials also ruled because of a roster issue, all Buckhannon Post 7 Junior Legion games will now count as part of the official record of the Senior Legion team. The Buckhannon roster was dual rostered for both teams minus two players. State rules say you are allowed to dual roster three kids after the June 25th deadline, so that will now make all Junior Legion games as Senior Legion games.

Buckhannon Post 7 general manager Kevin Boring has adjusted his schedule as well for the last two weeks of the season from the original schedule at the start of the year. (See below).

Post 7 played two games on Wednesday against Bridgeport Post 68 and dropped both outings.

They lost game one by a 4-2 score and lost the nightcap by a 15-5 score.

Those two losses, along with the Elkins game now being official, leaves Post 7 with an 8-12 record.

Buckhannon Post 7 will be back in action Saturday at John Marshall High School for a doubleheader.

They will play Moundsville at 1 p.m. followed by Follansbee at 3:30 p.m.

They will return home Sunday to battle Clarksburg at 1 p.m.
