Notice of Cemetery Annual Spring Clean-up from March 24 through March 28, 2025 – The City of Buckhannon will be performing the annual spring clean-up of the cemeteries (Buckhannon Memorial Park, Old Heavner, Second Addition, Veterans and Old Baptist) beginning March 24, 2025, and continuing through March 28, 2025. ALL ITEMS MUST be removed before the scheduled Clean-Up. Any items left will be disposed of during cemetery clean-up. If you have any questions, please call 304-472-1651 or 304-472-5755 between 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Colonial Arts Center and WVU Medicine, St. Joseph’s Hospital announce the debut of Local Music Night at the CAC – This new monthly concert series will spotlight songwriters, bands and musicians from the Buckhannon area. The event will provide a platform for established and amateur artists to perform original music, allowing community members to discover new sounds and support their local music scene. Local Music Night will occur on Saturdays, with doors opening at 6:30 PM and live music running from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Each show is free to attend and open to all ages. The series will kick off on Saturday, March 1, with a performance by punk rock band Blightyear, featuring opener B.J. Hoffman. Upcoming shows include April 5 – A.M.D. with opener Dominik English of Ben’s Raincoat, and May 31 – Rev. Rattlesnake with opener Chris Seymer.

Reporting a Necessary Repair or Registering a Concern with the City – To report a necessary repair, such as potholes, damaged street signs, an issue in a city park, etc. or any other matter that a city department should attend to, call City Hall during regular business hours and ask to submit a work order request, or report your concerns through our Citizens Engagement tool: https://buckhannonwv.portal.iworq.net/BUCKHANNON/new-request/700/3444. This will speed up the reaction time to a matter that needs immediate attention.
