Mary Frances Winans, 83, of Bailey Ridge, Buckhannon, died on June 30, 2026. She retired after 45 years at Chase Bank and was a devoted member of Tennerton United Methodist Church.
A man was arrested for grand larceny and breaking and entering after police identified him using surveillance footage from several downtown businesses following a theft at a local Hot Spot. Police said $18,202 was stolen from a safe in the business.
Charles Edward “Chuck” Reed, 79, of French Creek, died June 28, 2026, at Davis Medical Center in Elkins, WV. He retired from Ford Motor Company and was known for his generosity and friendship.
