Karen Louise Hinkle, 83, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on June 26, 2026, at J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who was active in her community and church.

Zelma Lewis Gibson, 86, of Rock Cave, passed away on June 23, 2026. A longtime employee of Rock Cave IGA and the Rock Cave Post Office, she was known for her kindness, faith, and love of reading.

Three Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers earned WVSWA All-State Baseball honors, led by junior Brody McDaniels on the First Team, junior Jaxon Spratt on the Second Team, and senior Jerin Westfall as Honorable Mention.
