Brian Andrew Moore, 41, of Buckhannon, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, in the comfort of his home surrounded by loving family.
Brian was born in Rantoul, IL, on September 12, 1984, a son of Allen Samuel “Sam” Moore and Rebecca “Becky” Anne McGarry Moore.
Brian was greeted at Heaven’s Gate by his paternal grandfather, Alva Moore, and maternal grandfather, Walter Rhodman.
Forever cherishing their memories of Brian is his wife, Patricia Peck of Buckhannon; parents, Sam and Becky Moore of Jackson’s Mill; mother and father-in-law, Ron and Mary Peck of Buckhannon; six children: Wyatt, Wade, and Wheeler Moore of Jane Lew, and Tristan, Damon, and Lynzy Champ of Buckhannon; five grandchildren: Soren, Ivy, and Salem Champ, and Maverick and Aurora Coe; one brother, Tom Moore and wife, Jessica, of Harrisonville; paternal grandmother, Lovonne Moore of Craigsville; maternal grandmother, Betty Rhodman of Lawton, IA; grandmother-in-law, Wilma McCauley of Buckhannon; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Brian was a proud graduate of Lewis County High School, Class of 2003. He later embarked on a career in the Oil & Gas field, where he showcased his resilience and work ethic. His career then took a turn toward carpentry, a field that allowed him to express his creativity and attention to detail as a skilled freelance professional. However, his most cherished title was being a stay-at-home “Pop Pop,” a role he embraced with enthusiasm and love. An outdoors enthusiast, Brian found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved hiking and being outdoors, often accompanied by the farm animals he enjoyed raising. Brian’s love for the outdoors was infectious, and he left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of joining him on his many adventures.
Brian’s request for cremation has been honored by Clutter Funeral and Cremation located at 21 Elnora Circle in Buckhannon. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at his home.
