Bobcat golfers compete in Dr. Wally Edgell Invitational

ROANOKE, W.Va. – The West Virginia Wesleyan men’s golf team competed against a deep field of Mountain East Conference rivals at the Dr. Wally Edgell Invitational, hosted by the University of Charleston at Stonewall Resort. The Bobcats finished 13th overall in the 16-team field with a three-round total of +91 (965). Glenville State captured the team championship at +20, followed by Fairmont State (+28) and Bluefield State (+36) rounding out the top three.

Bobcat Highlights
Robin Heidenreich paced WVWC with steady play throughout the event. Heidenreich carded rounds of 78–80–75 for a three-day total of +17 (233), finishing tied for 35th overall.

His final-round 75 was the low round for the Bobcats at the tournament.

Caleb Fairhurst closed strong with a final-round 77, finishing tied for 53rd at +24 (240).

Rahil Krishna battled through challenging conditions and posted rounds of 88–83–84, placing 78th at +39 (255).

Jake Geremia recorded scores of 89–84–88 for a +61 (261) total.

Ben Ambler rounded out the team lineup with rounds of 93–86–95, finishing at +70 (274).

Individuals

Gabe Jones, competing as an individual, turned in rounds of 86–88–91 to finish at +65 (265).

Mason Halfin, also in individual play, posted 94–92–93 for a +79 (279)

The Bobcats return to action in the Hannastown Collegiate Invitational, on September 22nd and 23rd in Greensburg Pa.
