Bobby Gene Davis

Bobby Gene Davis, 84, of Lorentz, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019, at his home. 

He was born June 10, 1934, in Griffin, Indiana, a son of the late Clarence and Rose Maddox Davis. 

He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise Davis, one son Greg and wife Dedra of Phoenix, Ariz.; one daughter Kimberly and husband Mark Radcliff of Buckhannon; one grandson Jamie Radcliff of Buckhannon; one granddaughter Brittany Burnham and husband Brian of Los Angeles, Calif.; two great grandsons:  Baylor and Brody Radcliff of Buckhannon; and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

Bobby worked in the oil fields in Indiana, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, and retired from General Electric in 1998.  He especially enjoyed his work at Jenkins Ford for the past twenty years.  He was a member of the Lorentz United Methodist Church and he loved boating, fishing, cooking, and spending time with his family.

The family will receive friends at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2019.  The funeral will be held on Sunday, March 31, 2019, at 1:30 p.m., at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Barbara J. Rogers officiating.  Interment will follow in the Lorentz Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the West Virginia Hospice, Hospice Promise Foundation, 6 Hartman Plaza, Buckhannon, WV 26201.
