Baylee Hurst, Kenna Adkins named FETC August Students of the Month

Fred Eberle Technical Center named Buckhannon-Upshur junior Baylee Hurst and Lewis County senior Kenna Adkins its Students of the Month for outstanding kindness, hard work and professional growth in their programs.

Fred Eberle Technical Center (FETC) has recognized its first Students of the Month for the 2025-26 school year: Baylee Hurst and Kenna Adkins.

Hurst, a Buckhannon-Upshur High School junior, is in her first year of FETC’s Cosmetology program. Instructor Mrs. Mary Hull-Perry said, “Baylee shows such kindness to her classmates. She has seen other students in her class struggling, and she stepped up and helped those students when she didn’t have to.”

Adkins, a Lewis County High School senior, completed FETC’s Therapeutic Services program last year and has returned as an Allied Health student. Instructor Mrs. Amie Hawkins praised Adkins for “trying very hard. Kenna asks questions, works hard in class, and treats classmates with respect. She wants to learn and be involved as much as she can. Kenna has made great improvement since the first day of school and is learning how to speak professionally.”

The center congratulated both students for their outstanding effort as its Students of the Month.
