Basketball Bucs no match for No. 3 Parkersburg South

PARKERSBURG – The Buckhannon-Upshur basketball Bucs dropped a 112-55 road decision to No. 3 Parkersburg South Tuesday night.

Parkersburg South made 16 three-pointers in the win.

Cyrus Traugh led the Patriots with 20 points while Ashton Mooney had 19, and Aiden Blake 18 points.

Lamar Hurst had a game-high 27 points for the Bucs while Sterlin Thropp added 10 points.

The loss dropped the Bucs to 6-6 on the year while Parkersburg South improved to 11-1.

The Bucs will be back in action Friday at Philip Barbour.

The game will begin at 7:30 p.m.
