Baker Tilly grabs lead in Men’s Golf League standings

TENNERTON – Baker Tilly returned to the top of the Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League standings after week four action.

Baker Tilly, who was the week one leader, moved back into first place with a 19 ½-14 ½ victory over Lisa Cain Edward Jones with 73 ½ points, moving up from third place last week.

Hank Ellis Insurance, last week’s leader, dropped to second despite an 18-17 win over Highland Landscaping, who fell from second place to third place.

Hank Ellis Insurance now has 73 points while Highland Landscaping owns 71 ½ points.

Sam’s Pizza downed Feola’s Flowers by a 19-15 ½ score to move up one spot from fifth place to fourth place with 70 ½ points.

UniFirst Corporation moved up one spot from sixth place to fifth place with 70 points with a 20-15 victory over Custom Cabinets.

In the other match of the week, First Community Bank defeated High Point Construction by a 18 ½-15 ½ score.

Kenny Tenney of Sam’s Pizza, Evan Coffman of First Community Bank and Jimmy Dean of Highland Landscaping all took Low Actual honors with 38s while Chris Zickefoose of UniFirst Corporation earned Low Net honors with a 31.
