B-U girls win state wrestling title as Garcia claims individual championship

HUNTINGTON – The Buckhannon-Upshur girls’ wrestling program made history in the 2025 West Virginia State Invitational Championships held at Huntington last weekend. Buckhannon-Upshur won the state championship, edging out Parkersburg South by a 148.5-142.0 score. Princeton was a distant third with 98.5 points.
