BUCKHANNON — On Saturday morning from 9 AM till 1 PM, the American Legion will be distributing food to area Veterans and surviving spouses who are experiencing food challenges. While you will need to provide evidence to show you or your spouse is/was a Veteran, there is no other information needed.

To receive the bags of food, you must provide a DD214 and photo ID, a driver’s license with veteran noted on it, a VA card, an active/retired military ID, or a membership card from the American Legion, VFW, DAV, or other veterans organization.

This will take place at the Upshur County Senior Center on North Kanawha Street. Access to the drive-thru distribution area will only be off Kanawha Street, on the driveway next to the building.
