A new month, a new mayor: Skinner sworn in July 1

BUCKHANNON — Robbie Skinner’s title on Wednesday changed from mayor-elect to simply mayor.

City recorder Randy Sanders, who was elected to fill an unexpired term, swore Skinner in at 2:30 p.m. July 1 in front of the Buckhannon city seal inside city hall.

In addition to Sanders and Skinner, new council member Jack Reger and incumbent council members Pam Bucklew and CJ Rylands were sworn in for four-year terms.

Tomorrow, we’ll post a story based on My Buckhannon’s interview with Skinner regarding his plans and priorities for the city.
