Wanda Jean Anderson, 81, of French Creek, W.Va., died Thursday, May 6, 2021, at her home.

She was born August 4, 1939, in Clay, W.Va., a daughter of the late George Dennis and Velma Elizabeth Truman Vaughan.

On April 2, 1980, she married James Anderson who survives of French Creek. Also surviving are one step son, James Wade Anderson and wife Emmy of Dille, W.Va.; two step daughters, Jennifer Tenney and husband Arthur of Crawford, WV and Joden Anderson of Buckhannon, W.Va.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Justine Wamsley of Buckhannon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Terry David Elliott and Gary Wayne Elliott; one step daughter, Jennett Anderson and two brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker and a Christian by faith. She loved to read, crochet and complete puzzles. She also had a passion for interior design and enjoyed decorating her home.

Friends will be received Monday, May 10, 2021 from 11a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Junior Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Beechtown Cemetery in Frenchton, W.Va.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
