CHARLESTON, WV – The Herbert Henderson Office of Minority Affairs (HHOMA) is premiering a virtual event featuring women who have made great strides in West Virginia’s horse racing industry. The “Women in Racing” panel will take place Thursday, March 25, at 7 p.m. and the public can tune in on HHOMA’s Facebook page.

The event includes a special introduction from West Virginia’s First Lady Cathy Justice – an accomplished equestrian in her own right – along with remarks from Mountaineer Park HBPA Executive Director Jana Tetrault, HHOMA Executive Director Jill Upson, and West Virginia Women’s Commission Executive Director Julie Palas.
Featured panelists include:

- Jennifer Johnson | Thoroughbred owner, breeder, and third-generation horse trainer.
- Carol Holden | Co-founder and president of the West Virginia Breeder’s Classic.
