Pallottine Foundation of Buckhannon now accepting Healthy Communities Initiative applications

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – The Pallottine Foundation of Buckhannon and its Board of Trustees are pleased to announce its Healthy Communities Initiative for the 2021–2022 grant year.

Funding under this Initiative will support nonprofit organizations that address behavioral, emotional, physical, social and spiritual health challenges in the community.  The Healthy Communities Initiative provides support to health-focused nonprofits for the continuation or enhancement of existing projects, as well as the development of new project offerings.

“The Pallottine Foundation of Buckhannon seeks partnerships with nonprofit organizations with the potential to inspire healthier choices for the communities of Barbour, Lewis, Randolph, Upshur, and Webster counties,” said Janell E. Ray, Executive Director of the Pallottine Foundation of Buckhannon. “Our 2021-2022 grant cycle opens on January 15, 2021, culminating with grant awards announced in mid-March.  We are excited to offer funding support to local organizations that share our mission and vision for a healthy community.”   

Grant deadlines for the Healthy Communities Initiative are: 

  • Request for Proposal Issued – January 15, 2021
  • Proposal Submission Deadline – February 15, 2021
  • Funding Decision Announcement – March 19, 2021
  • Grant Agreements and Funding Awards – March 19-31, 2021
  • Grant Performance Period – April 1, 2021-March 31, 2022
