Marceda Grace Newman, 82, of Buckhannon, W.Va., died Monday, December 28, 2020, at Nella’s Nursing Home in Elkins, W.Va.

She was born August 26, 1938, in Upshur County, W.Va., a daughter of the late James Clifford and Goldie Allene Hibbs Gooden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Sandra Lafferty. She is survived by two daughters, Mary-Anne Hansen and husband Paul and Kristine Leggett and husband Tim and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Newman was a homemaker and she loved to paint and read. Private Graveside Service was held for the family in the Mt. Union Church Cemetery.
