Hello residents of Upshur County. We are reporting the most current numbers. We currently have 81 Active COVID-19 cases. A total of 77 persons have recovered from the COVID-19 virus, for a total of 156 confirmed cases and two probable cases
We are asking that Upshur County residents please comply with the Quarantine Order if you are a positive case. We must have compliance, to slow down our cases.
We are working on contact tracing; it is a very labor-intensive process; we are working 7 days a week to keep things under control. If you are diagnosed as a positive patient, we WILL get to you, we need time to get information processed. So, remain at home and follow your providers instructions.
Our positive COVID-19 cases are widespread in Upshur County, we really cannot pinpoint one specific area.
Our recommendations are:
- Limit trips
- Wear a mask
- Wash hands frequently
- Avoid large crowds, family gatherings, social events, etc.
- Physical distance
- Be diligent in following the CDC and State of W.Va. guidelines
