The Mountaineer Chapter of Izaak Walton League of America will be hosting an Air Rifle/Pistol Shooting Event on Sunday, September 9th; at the Tygart Valley Muzzleloaders shooting range located passed their clubhouse, approx.6 miles straight up Files Creek Road, in Beverly. This exciting event will start at 12:30 with registration and the event starting at 1:00. This free event is opened to children ages 8 – 17 years old and will offer the participants hands on experience with firearms, encourage them to enjoy the great outdoor and learn range and shooting safety.  All equipment will be provided and dress appropriately for the weather. All children participating in the event will get a chance to win door prizes at the end of the day. You must register before the event starts and present to be eligible to win the prizes. Lacrosse Bucs crush Wheeing Park for first win, 15-3

Buckhannon-Upshur powered to its first win of the season with a 15-3 rout of Wheeling Park, using balanced scoring from seven players despite a near 30-minute delay. Braylon Oldaker, Easton Rice and Tobias Marple netted three goals each as the Bucs improved to 1-1.
