Betty Ray Rohr


Betty Ray Rohr, 77, of Buckhannon, W.Va., died Sunday, May 10, 2020 at her home.

She was born September 17, 1942 in Spencer, W.Va., a daughter of the late Robert Madison and Velva Margret Ann McMullen Harper. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Andrew Rohr who died on January 14, 2019.

She is survived by two sons, Richard Andrew Rohr, Jr., and wife Lea Ann and Jason Allen Rohr all of Buckhannon; one grandson, Richard Andrew Rohr, II of Buckhannon and one granddaughter, Victoria Kathryne Rohr of Richmond, Ky.

Mrs. Rohr was a seamstress who enjoyed making quilts and was a published author. She was the best mother ever. Betty was a homemaker and worked as traffic control in construction work. Mrs. Rohr was a member of the Mt. Lebanon Christian Church in Pittsburgh, Pa.

A private service for the family will be held. Burial will be in the Mt. Lebanon Church Cemetery in Buckhannon, W.Va.
