Charles “Chuck” James Farrar

Charles “Chuck” James Farrar, 69, of Rock Cave passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2020, after an extended stay at Colonial Place in Elkins.

He was born in Kanawha Head on November 27, 1950, during a massive snow storm to the late Coy James Farrar and Lucy Mae Demastes Farrar Hoover. In addition to his parents, two siblings: Nicki Dale and Michael Farrar greeted Chuck at Heaven’s gates.

On September 13, 1973, Chuck married the love of his life, Joanne Lucille Crapp. For over 46 years they shared the joys of marriage and raising their two boys.

Chuck’s hardworking nature will be remembered by his wife, Joanne Farrar; two sons: Justin Farrar and companion, Sherry Lowther, of Roanoke, and Christopher Farrar and companion, Heather Lowther, of Jackson’s Mill; eleven grandchildren: Natalie, Chase, Shelby, Reis, Luxlea, Kyle, Haven, Cade, Cole, Mikala, and Jace; one special great-granddaughter, Emory who was very dear to Chuck’s heart; two siblings: Troy Farrar and Debbie Perrie and husband, Michael, both of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

Chuck graduated from Buckhannon-Upshur High School in 1969. He was born and raised in West Virginia and Methodist by faith. Chuck was also a member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting in the Wild and Wonderful woods of West Virginia. He was hard-working and enjoyed his job as a Rig Manager in the Oil and Gas Industry where he spent over 40 years. In his spare time, Chuck was either street drag racing or working on upgrading his “pride and joy” ’66 Chevelle. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and never missed a race.

Chuck’s request for cremation has been honored and a Private Service will be held at a later date.

We, at Tomblyn-Clutter Funeral and Cremation located at 21 Elnora Circle in Buckhannon, are honored and privileged to serve the family of Charles “Chuck” James Farrar. Online condolences may be expressed at www.Tomblyn-ClutterFuneral.com.
