PHILIPPI, W.Va.—December 3, 2019—Alderson Broaddus University has 14,000 reasons to be thankful this holiday season. Earlier this year, members of the Battler community were invited to participate in the Faculty Staff Annual Fund Drive, a yearly fundraising effort to provide enriched educational experiences for students and valuable resources through donations to the University’s Annual Fund.

Last year, AB’s 2018-2019 Faculty Staff Annual Fund Drive participation rate went up 12.5% over the previous year, and dollars raised increased by 44%. This year, the Annual Fund Drive celebrated a total of 101 gifts and a nearly $14,000 commitment from faculty and staff members.

“Alderson Broaddus University employees have the opportunity to support the mission and students of the Battler community. Our faculty and staff members are the heart and soul of Alderson Broaddus,” said Director of the Annual Fund Sandra Frame. “Together, our gifts make a statement. Each gift impacts the lives of our biggest investment: our students.”

All employees are encouraged to give at a level they feel comfortable, and donations, dollar for dollar, benefit all students and facilities by making tuition costs more affordable, providing essential classroom and campus resources, and aiding students to study abroad and participate in internships.
