Important back-to-school dates

Tuesday, August 13 – First Day on Campus

The “First Day on Campus” was an idea taken as suggested by our stakeholder groups. The students who are attending Pre-K, kindergarten, sixth and ninth grade will attend on Tuesday, August 13it is an early dismissal at 12:30 p.m.

This will give them opportunity to ride the bus, acclimate to their new school environment, meet with school staff and their “special day” on campus. These are transition years and it is important for these students to feel comfortable going into their new school setting.

We encourage you to allow your new student to ride the bus on the first day of school. This will help our drivers to establish their routes and pick up/drop off times. Call the bus garage at 304-472-1544 with questions about your student’s bus number and pick up times.
