All schools in Upshur County will close at 1 p.m. today. All B-UHS sporting events today are canceled.

Mark your calendars for CommUnity and Kindness Day!

Planning has already begun for the second annual CommUnity & Kindness Day! Be sure to save Saturday, October 5, 2019 in your calendars for a day of service to our B-U community. If you’d like to participate in the planning process, let us know!

Organizations: If you would like to be a service site for the day, please contact us at bavolunteer@buckhannonwv.org or call 304-472-1651 ext. 1032. Site placements should last around 3 hours and can require as few or as many volunteers as needed to complete the project.

Let us know what you need done and how many volunteers are needed, and we’ll set it up! We hope to have all service sites confirmed by August 30, 2019. This will allow one month for volunteers to choose their placement for the day.

Volunteers: Stay tuned for ways to get involved on this day. Sign up for our mailing list to stay connected and learn what you can do on CommUnity and Kindness Day! If you are unable to participate with us at Jawbone, spread kindness in your own way – pay for someone’s meal, call up an old friend, or perform some other random act of kindness!
