BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – St. Joseph’s Hospital will host a Spring Health Fair with a variety of free screenings and information on Saturday, April 6 at the Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School.  Free screenings will include bone density testing, vein testing, glucose level testing, oxygen testing and blood pressure testing.  There will also be many informational booths and giveaways. 

The Spring Health Fair will run from 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and is free and open the public.

The Rotary Club blood screening will also be held that day at the Middle School and at the Community Care Clinic in Rock Cave. The Blood Screening will offer Basic Blood Profile tests for only $35, a savings of 90 percent.  Optional testing for colon cancer and thyroid screening is available for an additional $5,  PSA testing for $20, and Hemoglobin A1C for diabetes for $15. 

No appointments are needed and fasting for 12 hours is required prior to testing.  Bring cash or a personal check for payment.
