A Civil War reenactment of the Battle of Droop Mountain is scheduled for Oct. 10 and 11 at Droop Mountain Battlefield State Park near Hillsboro. The battle was West Virginia’s last significant Civil War engagement, and the reenactment features the park’s steep mountain terrain and artillery displays.
The event is free and open to the public.
