The Buckhannon-Upshur Recreational Park is looking for lifeguards, admission workers, concession stand workers and assistant managers for the 2026 summer season.
The Office of the Upshur County Commission is accepting applications for the following positions: lifeguards, admission workers, concession stand workers and assistant managers for the 2026 park season, beginning mid-May and continuing through mid-September.
Individuals who worked at the park facility during the previous season(s) and have notified the Commission Office of their intent to return to work do not need to complete an application unless he or she is interested in an assistant manager position.
Lifeguards must be certified with CPR and First Aid endorsements and concession stand workers must have a valid WV Food Handlers Card. Applicants with current certifications will be given preference. Reimbursements of required certifications will be made to employees that are available and complete the 2026 season.
Interested individuals may obtain an application from the Office of the Upshur County Commission at the Upshur County Administrative Annex, 91 West Main Street, Suite 101, during the normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, or online at upshurcounty.org.
Completed applications must be returned to the Office of the Upshur County Commission on or before the close of business on Wednesday, April 1st, 2026. Applications received by this date will be reviewed, however applications will be accepted until positions are filled.
