Julie Marie Dean

Julie Marie Dean, age 79, of Buckhannon, WV, died Sunday, March 8, 2026, at her home. She was born on September 20, 1946, in Elkins, WV, a daughter of the late Nicholas Raymond and Madeline Varchetto Attanasio.

On October 23, 2010, she married James Dean, who survives.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Rob Jones and wife, Brenda Sue, of Buckhannon; one daughter, Kristi Roby of Buckhannon; one stepson, Jimmy Dean and wife, Susan, of Buckhannon; five grandchildren, John David Humphrey, Michael Humphrey, and Mike Roby and wife, Shelby, all of Buckhannon, Dale “Dator” Blankenship and wife, Robyn, of Gassaway, WV, and Haylee Blankenship of Buckhannon; six great-grandchildren, Gwen, Gabby, and Aurora Humphrey, and Kira, Kyah, and Kalia Roby, all of Buckhannon; two brothers, Jerome “Jerry” Attanasio of OH and Jon Attanasio and partner, Ron Beckner, of FL; one sister, Gemma Sims and husband, Ed, of Stow, OH; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Dean was a Registered Nurse.

In honoring her wishes, she will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
