The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources reminded the public that the next quarterly meeting of the Natural Resources Commission will be Thursday, Feb. 19 at 6 p.m., according to a press release from the agency.
The meeting will be open to the public at a physical location in each of the WVDNR’s six districts, where the local commissioner and WVDNR staff will host attendees and gather public input.
A view-only livestream will be available at youtube.com/@WVcommerce/streams for those who want to watch remotely. Those who want to address the commission must attend one of the following in-person locations:

- District 2 — 1 Depot St., Romney, WV 26757
- Elkins Operation Center in District 3 — 738 Ward Road, Elkins, WV 26241

The agenda includes a National Wild Turkey Federation award presentation, a 2026 legislative update, a summary of 2025-2026 big game harvest figures, proposed 2026-2027 big game hunting regulations, proposed 2027-2028 hunting and trapping regulations, proposed 2027 fishing regulations and discussion of public regulations meeting scheduling.
The Natural Resources Commission serves as an advisory body to the WVDNR on issues related to conserving the state’s natural resources and protecting fish and game species, including establishing hunting and fishing regulations, season dates and limits.
