Jean was an employee at Delco Radio Factory in Kokomo Indiana prior to returning to West Virginia and becoming a homemaker.  Widely known for her warmth, generosity and loving spirit she brought to the world. Even in the midst of challenges life brought her way she never wavered in her compassion for others, always caring for her loved ones more than she did herself. She was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.  Jean was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, bird watching, canning, cooking, fishing and hunting. Before arthritis took its toll, she had a natural gift for playing the guitar and piano. She enjoyed music and attending church.  Her nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends always knew they would receive a warm hot meal at “Aunt Jean’s” prepared with much love and given with warm hospitality.

Friends will be received Friday, November 14, 2025, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 PM Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Holly J. Hoover officiating. Burial will follow in the Upshur County Memorial Park in Tennerton, WV.
