The Rotary Club of Buckhannon Upshur and WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital will hold blood screenings on Saturdays on Oct. 4, Oct. 11, Oct. 18 and Nov. 1 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. An additional screening in November will be announced at an off-site location.
Basic blood profile tests will be offered for $35, with additional testing available: thyroid for $5; hemoglobin A1C for $15; colon cancer screening for $5; prostate testing for $20; and a Hepatitis C antibody test for $20.
There will also be a health fair on Saturday, Oct. 18, at the hospital featuring a variety of free screenings and information, including blood pressure testing, bone density scanning and information about the hospital’s providers and services.

If you do not have internet access or need assistance, the Mountain CAP Family Support Center at 30 East Main Street, the Upshur County Senior Center or the Upshur County Library at 1150 Route 20 South in Buckhannon can assist you in registering. Appointments are required and are available between the hours of 7 a.m. and 10 a.m.
