City of Buckhannon announces July 30 water service interruption

The Buckhannon Water Department will interrupt water service on July 30 in several areas for repairs, with a backup date of August 6 if weather delays the work, and aims to restore service quickly.

The City of Buckhannon Water Department has announced a water service interruption for necessary repair work on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, beginning at approximately 9 a.m.

The affected areas include Young Lane from Meade Street to E. Main Street; 1 Sedgwick Street; and 4 and 6 Meade Street. The Water Department will work to restore service as quickly as possible.

If weather prevents completion on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, they will attempt again on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
