David Lee Beckner, age 72, of Buckhannon, WV, lost his battle with cancer Thursday, December 26, 2024, at his home. He was born April 30, 1952, a son of the late Charles and Reva Robinson Beckner.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Ellen Rae Nutter-Beckner; five brothers Leonard, William, Ronald, Richard and Daniel Beckner; six sisters Dortha Beckner, Betty Riffle, Hazel Mace, Karen Nethken, Nancy Durant and Reta Buss; five nephews and four nieces.
Surviving are one daughter Lora Small and husband Herl of Buckhannon; one son, David Wayne Beckner and wife Traci of Pocohontas County, WV; three sisters, Sherry Posey and husband Jerry of Painesville, OH, and Linda Mealey and Connie Canter both of Buckhannon; eight granddaughters; four grandsons; nine great-grandchildren; special nephew Tony Durant of Buckhannon; four special grandkids Johnathon and Eli Beckner and Jimmy and Breanna Navarrete, who stayed with him until the end.
Mr. Beckner was a Truck Driver most of his life.
Friends will be received Monday, December 30, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Poling-St Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Monday, December 30, 2024, at 1 PM with Pastor Jerry Murrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Union Cemetery in Buckhannon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Funeral Home to assist with the funeral expenses.
