Mary Ellen Bosley

Mary Ellen Bosley, 77, of Buckhannon, W.Va., died Monday, Nov. 26, 2018 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.

She was born June 25, 1941 in Pickens, W.Va., a daughter of the late Stewart and Margaret Ann Swint Smith.

On Sept. 15, 1963 she married Vance Ronald Bosley who preceded her in death on May 1, 1976.

She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Utter and husband John of Buckhannon and Julia Hyman and husband David of Clarksburg, W.Va.; seven granddaughters, Elaine Runyon and husband Josh of Baltimore, Md., Kimberly Hyman, Amanda Eubank and Megan Vedyt and husband Adam all of Clarksburg, Danielle Corley and husband Joshua of Salem, W.Va., Maria McClain of Buckhannon and Marissa Utter of Jane Lew, W.Va.; five great-granddaughters, Katelyn Swigger of N.C., Jaclyn Corley, Loraina Lloyd and Abby Lloyd all of Salem and Keira Livingston of West Milford, W.Va.; three great-grandsons, Dru Jackson of Fairmont, W.Va., Gabriel and Aiden Livingston both of West Milford; five sisters, Rosemary Nelson and husband Arnie, Loretta Reeves and husband Arden and Margaret Ann Smith all of N.C., Caroline White of Utah and Cathy Hamrick of Webster Springs, W.Va.; four brothers, Stuart Smith and wife Jessie of Buckhannon, Mike Smith and wife Serina of Pickens and Matthew “Pat” Smith and wife Dale all of Pickens and Lawrence Smith of N.C., and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Bosley was a Registered Nurse at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg, W.Va. She loved donating to charitable organizations, especially the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
