Lady Bobcat soccer teams gets shutout on the road by Cal (Pa.) in 1-0 loss

CALIFORNIA (Pa.) — West Virginia Wesleyan College women’s soccer traveled to the University of California (Pa.) Wednesday in its first away match of the young season and dropped a 1-0 decision to the Vulcans.

The single goal of the match came early when the Vulcans’ Alicia Green dribbled to net from the right corner and pelted a shot past Bobcat keeper Paula Garcia at 15:16.

The entire game was incredibly even with both teams matching shot totals at eight a piece, saves at five per side, and each team had eight corner kick attempts.

Wesleyan will host Concord University Sunday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
