American Legion Post 7 to hold quarterly Veterans Appreciation Breakfast on Saturday, Jun 15

BUCKHANNON — American Legion Post 7 will hold its quarterly Veterans Appreciation Breakfast on Saturday, June 15, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Post Home, 16 S. Kanawha St. in Buckhannon (next to old Kanawha Theater).

This is a free event (donations appreciated) for all Veterans and their immediate families. The menu is pancakes, sausage, biscuits, and gravy, as well as scrambled eggs. There will be coffee, tea, etc., with both regular and sugar-free syrup.

There will be a 50/50 raffle held (don’t need to be present to win). All proceeds will go to supporting our area veterans and their families. Come for a morning of good food and great fellowship!

Lacrosse Bucs crush Wheeing Park for first win, 15-3

Buckhannon-Upshur powered to its first win of the season with a 15-3 rout of Wheeling Park, using balanced scoring from seven players despite a near 30-minute delay. Braylon Oldaker, Easton Rice and Tobias Marple netted three goals each as the Bucs improved to 1-1.
