Lacrosse Lady Bucs win home opener against Morgantown

TENNERTON – Kendall Defibaugh and Kylie Hull each tallied four goals to lead the Buckhannon-Upshur Lady Buc lacrosse team to a 13-7 victory over the Morgantown Mohigans in their 2024 debut Thursday night.

Mallory Moss added three goals while Heather Hayes contributed two goals in the win.

Defibaugh has the lone assist for the Lady Bucs.

Genevieve Gregory led the team in ground balls with 11 while Moss, Defibaugh and Kendall Hefner each had five.

B-U held a 19-12 advantage in shots-on-goal.

Haylea Crihfield turned away seven shots for the Lady Bucs in net.

The Lady Bucs, now 1-0, will be back in action Tuesday at George Washington at 8 p.m.
