Steven Phillip Riggs, age 64, of Rock Cave, died on Saturday, September 2, 2023. He was born on February 8, 1959, in Buckhannon a son of the late Phillip Arrington Riggs and is survived by his mother Margie Marie Smith Riggs of Buckhannon.
He was united in marriage on April 21, 1979, to Cynthia Oldaker Riggs who survives. He is also survived by one son, Casen Riggs of Pittsburgh, PA.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one sister Debra Diane Perry and one grand-nephew, Jonathan Isaac Perry.
Steve will be remembered as a loving husband, father and son.
He was a 1977 graduate of Buckhannon-Upshur High School and was an avid West Virginia Mountaineer Football Fan.
The family has honored his wishes for cremation and a private family service will be held at a later date.
