Mary Anna Thompson Land

Mary Anna Thompson Land, age 84, formerly of Buckhannon and most recently of Spring, Texas died on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, in Spring, TX. 

She was born April 27, 1938, in West Virginia a daughter of the late William Branson and Pauline Francis Post Thompson and her Stepfather Franklin Edward Lantz.  She was united in marriage on December 24, 1979, to Glenn Franklin Land who preceded her in death on October 30, 2006.  In addition to her parents and her husband she was also preceded in death by one son Edward (Eddie) Land, one brother James L. Thompson and one sister Virginia F. Altman.

She is survived by one son Clyde Land and wife Criselda; two daughters:  Brenda Cooper and Paula Goho and husband Gary; her beloved grandchildren:  Adam Perdue and wife Tonya, Al Pye and wife Claudia, Zach Lopez, Maria Shaim and Hynrie Pomoy; Brother Ronnie Thompson and wife Shirley; Sister Linda Thompson Lantz and husband Jim; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mary Anna was in management for years until she retired and enjoyed loving life with her husband Glenn.  She was a Christian by faith.  She loved her family and spending time with them, she loved to cook/bake and have family meals.  She liked crocheting, crafts and cross word puzzles.

Friends will be received at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel on Thursday, February 23, 2023, from 4-6 PM.  Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Chapel on Friday, February 24, 2023, at 12:00 Noon.  Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery in Philippi.
