Buckhannon-Upshur dug out of a 5-0 hole to pull within a run, but Cabell Midland erupted for six in the fifth to take control in a 13-4 South Region Tournament win. The Bucs will host Riverside Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in an elimination game after rain postponed Wednesday’s matchup.
Buckhannon is reminding residents of yard waste and loose leaf pickup rules, including 2026 schedule changes due to festivals and holidays. Yard waste is collected on set Fridays (weekly Sept.–Nov.), and loose leaves are vacuumed Fridays in Oct.–Nov. by request.
