West Virginia Wesleyan was swept by the University of Charleston in Sunday’s doubleheader, falling 3-1 in the opener before a 12-inning 6-5 marathon in game two.
Buckhannon-Upshur closed the regular season with a split, falling 5-2 at Elkins before bouncing back with a 5-2 win at Robert C. Byrd. The Bucs are 4-9 (4-5 Big 10) as they head to the Big 10 Conference tournament in Bridgeport this Friday and Saturday.

The West Virginia Natural Resources Commission meets Thursday, April 30 at 6 p.m., with simultaneous in-person sessions across WVDNR’s six districts to gather public input.
The Upshur County Commission heard a funding request to help preserve the 113-year-old Indian Camp Normal Building but said its FY2027 budget is tight. Commissioners agreed to revisit the request after the Hampton Community Building is sold and available funds are clearer.
