City releases more details on ‘Boooockhannon Spooktacular’ Halloween events

BUCKHANNON — Here’s a Boooockhannon Spooktacular Halloween events update from the City of Buckhannon. Mark your calendars for the following dates!

Thursday and Friday, October 20 and 21, are both a FREE MOVIE NIGHT in the Colonial Arts Center Main Hall! Both nights will be a double feature showing Night of the Living Dead (1968) and What I Want (2022). Tickets will become available beginning at 6:30 PM each night with the first movie starting at 7:30 PM! Come dressed in your costumes for an entry into our costume contest!!

Friday, October 21, from 6:30 to 10:00 PM, Stockert Youth Center will host its Haunted Youth Center! Admission is $10 for adults and $8 for kids.

Saturday, October 22, beginning at 9 AM will be the Zombie Run 5K! We encourage all runners/walkers to dress as spooky as possible for ANOTHER chance to win a costume contest! For those that have not pre-registered, you can register in person, beginning at 8:00 AM Saturday, at the Colonial Arts Center. The entry fee is $10.

Friday, October 28, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, Trunk or Treat will be held at the Public Safety Complex! Stop by in costume to see several of your favorite local businesses and snag some treats!

Saturday, October 29, beginning at 8:30 PM, will be the annual Boooockhannon Zombie Walk & Crawl! Register for $5.00 at the Colonial Arts Center and join our COSTUME CONTEST PARADE down Trader’s Alley to Jawbone Park, where we will take group photos! Following the Walk is an optional Crawl (ages 21+ ONLY) to Stone Tower Brews, CJ Maggies, and The Whistle Stop to celebrate the spooky season with some of our local favorites. 

On Sunday, Oct. 30, there will be two more productions of CLUE On Stage by Buckhannon Community Theatre in the Colonial Arts Center Main Hall! A 2:00 PM matinee and a 7:00 PM evening performance. Tickets are going FAST!!! Only $10.00 at the door prior to the performances. Monday, Oct. 31, will be Trick or Treat night throughout Buckhannon from 6:00 to 7:30 PM! (Please note that Trick or Treat is also set for 6-7:30 PM throughout Upshur County.)
