One person injured in vehicle-versus-motorcycle collision Friday on Route 20 South

BUCKHANNON — One person was injured in a vehicle-versus-motorcycle wreck Friday on Route 20 South near the West Virginia Wildlife Center.

According to a press release from the Upshur County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 12:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, sheriff’s deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash on Route 20 South, just south of the West Virginia Wildlife Center. The release says a Chevy Trailblazer pulled into the path of a motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital by HealthNet. The driver of the Trailblazer refused transport to the hospital by Upshur EMS.

Chief Deputy Mike Coffman, Deputy T.R. Collins, and Deputy Forte with the Upshur County Sheriff’s Office are investigating. They were assisted by the Division of Natural Resources Police, Banks District Volunteer Fire Department, Adrian Volunteer Fire Department Upshur EMS.
