UniFirst holds on for fourth-quarter title in Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League

TENNERTON – Despite an 18 ½-15 loss to Baker Tilly, UniFirst Corporation held on for the fourth-quarter title by the slimmest of margins in the final week of the Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League.

High Point Construction defeated Lisa Cain Edward Jones by an 18-15 margin to put the pressure on UniFirst Corporation, but at the end of the day, UniFirst Corporation won the fourth-quarter title with 91 ½ points while High Point Construction finished with 91 points.

Hank Ellis Insurance placed third in the fourth-quarter standings with a huge 21-13 victory over First Community Bank.

In the other two matches of the week, Custom Cabinets downed Feola’s Flowers by a 19-17 count and Highland Landscaping beat Sam’s Pizza by a 19-14 score.

John Moss of Custom Cabinets won Low Actual honors with a 33 and Moss and Lynn Helmick of Custom Cabinets shared Low Net honors with 30s.

Hank Ellis Insurance will battle UniFirst Corporation in a semifinal match while Custom Cabinets, who won two quarter titles during the regular season, will get a bye into the championship.
