Farm-to-table dinners return to West Virginia State Parks

SOUTH CHARLESTON, WV — The West Virginia State Parks farm-to-table dinner series is back this year and is the best way to enjoy locally sourced food, fresh local produce, and locally crafted beverages at select West Virginia State Parks. Each dinner is a unique dining experience and seating is limited.

“This dinner series is a great opportunity to sample gourmet meals prepared by state park chefs at our breathtaking Parks,” said Paul Redford, District Park Manager, West Virginia State Parks. “These meals showcase local ingredients and are the perfect end to summer.”

September 10 – Hawks Nest — Hawks Nest State Park’s Farm-to-Table dinner featuring local produce and food products is scheduled for Sept. 10, 2022. This year’s dinner will be at the park’s Event Center, formerly known as the Hawk Nest Museum. This event venue is fully accessible and has plenty of parking. Reservations will be required and seating is limited to 35. Dinner tickets are $44.99, not including tax and gratuity.

September 17 – Cacapon Resort — Cacapon Resort’s Farm-to-Table dinner is scheduled for Sept. 17, 2022 and will feature local produce and food products. Tickets are $45 and include tax and gratuity. Reservations are available for up to 50 diners. The dinner starts at 6:00 p.m. at Cacapon Lodge with musical entertainment for the festivities. For people that have not seen the new lodge and the renovations, this is a lovely opportunity to enjoy a great meal, music and see the lodge.

November 12 – Cass Scenic Railroad — A full frost moon shines upon The Town of Cass, W.Va. and the Farm-to-Table dinner, prepared by the Last Run Restaurant at Cass Scenic Railroad State Park. Highlighting locally sourced produce and products, the dinner features home-cooking of locally sourced products and desserts that only a harvest can provide. Visit the Company Store, take a stroll through the Town of Cass and enjoy the community spirit.
