Buckhannon: Then and Now – pre-Civil War home

Buckhannon: Then and Now…Join us in showcasing the landmarks of Upshur County throughout history and today.

This week, we showcase a beautiful pre-Civil War home at the site of today’s Citizen’s Bank of West Virginia, at the corner of West Main Street and South Locust Street in Buckhannon. This site was also the location of Buckhannon’s Volunteer Fire Department from 1950-2007. Original photo courtesy of the Upshur County Historical Society.
