Former Wesleyan library archivist Brett Miller joins Orion Strategies as Director of Research

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — Orion Strategies, a multi-state strategic communications and public relations firm, has recently welcomed Brett Miller to its ranks as Director of Research.  

The research division of Orion Strategies regularly executes focus groups, polls, change of venue surveys, media audits, lay-of-the-land memos and opposition research for companies, issue campaigns, universities, media outlets, advocacy organizations, industry associations, and law firms.  

“I’m excited to be joining the professional staff at Orion Strategies, especially at this juncture in the company’s growth,” stated Miller.

Miller comes to Orion Strategies with 15 years of experience as an archivist in the Anne Merner Pfeiffer Library at West Virginia Wesleyan College, most recently serving as the Director of Library Services.

“We are thrilled to have Brett join the Orion team. His background in research will prove to be a valuable asset to our clients,” said Orion Strategies CEO, Curtis Wilkerson.

Miller received a Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2011 with a specialization in archives, preservation, and records management and then interned at the Smithsonian Institute’s National Museum of American History.

Miller has served on the boards of directors for numerous historic and civic organizations, plays multiple instruments professionally, and is a published author.
